I’m so thrilled to share my debut children’s book, Animals of the 50 States: 500 Wild Facts (ABRAMS). I poured my passion for wildlife, love of research, and a desire to inspire the next generation of nature lovers into these pages.
This oversized book is truly a work of art, thanks to Nicholas J. Frith, who brought every state’s creatures to life with vibrant illustrations.
Holding the book feels surreal. I learned so much from writing about incredible animals that’ve made a comeback and native species found only in specific places in our wide and wonderful country. While the book is marketed for 5-10-year-olds, I think everyone will learn something new.
I hope you, your kids, your grandkids, and your nieces and nephews will enjoy it.
