I’m a New York City-based freelance writer with a focus on travel, pets, eco-lifestyle, and wildlife conservation. Over the past eight years, I’ve written hundreds of articles that have garnered millions of views in top print and online publications. I brought attention to animal welfare issues as a weekly columnist for NBC Petside and a blogger for BarkPost. By writing about my travel experiences, I hope to encourage others to embark on similar journeys. Knowing that my storytelling makes a positive difference drives me to produce quality content that’s both inspiring and compelling. My work has appeared in The New York Times, Fodor’s Travel, USA Today 10Best, Architectural Digest, Shermans Travel, The Dodo, Salon, amNY, The Points Guy, Huffington Post, and JohnnyJet among others.
In 2012, I collaborated with TV host/naturalist Jeff Corwin on an eBook on shark conservation (a dream come true!), and continued my passion for marine protection as an Earthwatch Communications Fellow on their Safeguarding Whales and Dolphins research expedition in Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica in 2016.
In the past 15 years as a globetrotter, I’ve had many memorable adventures. Some of them include traveling solo to catch a glimpse of the critically endangered black rhino in Kenya, snorkeling with sea lions in the Galápagos, helping build a school in rural Guatemala, and caring for orphaned wallabies in Australia. I cherish writing about these incredible experiences and causes close to my heart.
