NATURE TRAVELER

About

OZ1
I am a writer, animal lover, and globetrotter based in New York. I spent my childhood in South India with an appreciation for nature. In my twenties, I became interested in traveling and wildlife conservation when I came upon The Jeff Corwin Experience show. Over the years, I traveled the globe in search of my own adventures. I spotted the critically endangered black rhino in Kenya, camped in the Serengeti, snorkeled with sea lions in the Galápagos, kayaked with otters in Alaska, witnessed sea turtle releases in Costa Rica, and cared for orphaned wallabies and other indigenous wildlife in Australia.
As a writer, I combine my love of animals and passion for traveling. My work has appeared in various national and international publications including The New York Times. For two years, I wrote a weekly column focused on pets and animal rescue organizations for NBC Petside. I am an advocate for animal rights, and cherish my role of being their voice and bringing about positive change. In December of 2012, one of my dreams came true when I collaborated with Jeff Corwin and edited the first eBook published by JeffCorwinConnect. Jeff’s Explorer Series: Sharks is available wherever eBooks are sold.
I created this website to share my published work, and add new blog posts about positive animal news and off-the-beaten path adventures from around the world.
Hope you enjoy and share this site with family and friends.
Thanks!
